Venice Florida Campus
(1961)

Venice, Florida TODAY

The back of the Venice Gondolier Press Building is far more  colorful than the brown grass next to the Intracoastal Waterway walk. The mural depicts key eras in Venice including the Kentucky Military Institute/s winter quarters from 1932-1970 and the move to Venice of The Greatest Show on Earth in 1960 and its expansion with a second unit and the creation of its Clown College which would eventually graduate some 1,200 clowns before closing in the mid 1990s.
