09/18/2025 Atten......tion. Cadets! Our Venice reunion is coming together. Last Monday Bill Victor and I met in Punta Gorda and toured the new Military Heritage Museum. We were so impressed that we decided to make it a reunion destination for the troops. We'll get everyone down and back via a bus, and we'll have to do it in two shifts like we did in Pensacola back in 2018. This excursion will be on Friday, April 17, and our banquet will be held that evening. Last Tuesday we met at City Hall with the Mayor, City Manager, and their staff. We're working on events with the city for Saturday, April 18. So.........stay tuned. Exciting times await us. Leon Here is an update on where we stand. Our block of rooms at the Venice Hampton Inn is in force. Our contact person is Tiffany Smiley, and the phone number is 941-488-5900. Rooms are $189 per night. The whole hotel has been renovated, and business in Venice has not slowed down since the "snowbirds" went home. If you plan to attend, you might want to make your room reservations now. Next year is also the Centennial Celebration for the City of Venice, so there will be lots of people in the area. Don’t wait and have real difficulty with getting a room. By the way.......Greg Rohrer's widow, Donna, is going to attend. Greg was KMI Alumni treasurer for 36 years! Also.....90 year old Jim Burrows, class of 53, past manager of the KMI database, plans to attend with his son, Jim Jr......who lives in Idaho. April 16-19, 2026
