Reunion Greetings, K.M.I. Cadets! Below is the final listing of the schedule of events for the 2026 KMI "All Class" reunion.At 9:00 am, on Wednesday, morning APRIL 15TH, before the beginning of our reunion, the City will re-dedicate Centennial Park in honor of all the mayors and city council members who have led our city over the past century. They plan to bury a time capsule as part of the 9 a.m. dedication ceremony. I plan to attend and it would be great if others joined me in participating. Larry Humes '65 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Added the times of the reunion events below) Thursday evening, April 16. at 6pm to 9pm, we will gather at the Venice Little Theater. Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will await us. The mayor has been invited to greet us and open the festivities. Friday morning: Two buses will leave the Hampton Inn at 9 AM . Back after 4 PM. The destination is Punta Gorda. One bus will go directly to Fisherman's Wharf. One bus will go directly to the new Military Heritage Museum. The buses will switch locations, and everyone will attend the 2nd venue. The remainder of Friday is free. There is a good, full service, seafood restaurant about 70 paces (a guess) from the front door of the Hampton Inn. Saturday morning at 9:00 to noon: We convene at the Raymond Center for a short alumni meeting. Camille from the Venice Little Theater will make a presentation. Then 1965 KMI grad and Venice resident, Larry Humes, will give us a visual history of the city of Venice. Camille will offer us a tour of the Venice Little Theater, complete with rifle range, military science classrooms, and the old gymnasium.....what's left of it. The Triangle Inn, the old offshoot of City Hall that houses a ton of KMI memorabilia, will be open Saturday afternoon. We also can meet the director of the San Marco building for tours of the property. Saturday evening's banquet will be held at 5pm at the Casey Key Resort, the former Bentley's.......where we held our 2017 reunion.
