| The Churchill Downs outing was one
of our most enjoyable trips during the KMI reunion. We had
reserved approximately one half of the sixth floor (Millionaires Row)
in the main clubhouse. $130 million had just been spent to
renovate these facilities and it showed it. We all enjoyed an
endless full buffet bar (notice buffet line at the top portion of the
above picture), comfortable surrounds ( read - air conditioning and
padded chairs! ), and an outside terraced viewing platform to watch the
races. Of course, there were enough TV monitors around to give
you an even better view of each race. I won five out of the seven
races that I bet on (beginners luck!) and most of the Alumni that I
spoke with also enjoyed a winning time. Maybe we can go to the
Grayhounds during the 2007 reunion down in Venice. Jim Flora '62
