submitted by Hank Geary '62

Military Courtesy will be closely observed by the Inspecting Party during the annual Federal Inspection.  In order that no misunderstanding should exist in the Corps of Cadets the following resume of the regulations pertaining to saluting is given for the information of all concerned:

SALUTING ON CAMPUS : Cadets in uniform will render the prescribed salute to members of the faculty, members of the Military Department and all persons visiting the campus in the US military uniforms when they pass them on the campus or if the person entitled to the salute comes within recognizing distance. (30 paces)

When an inspecting officer enters a cadet room the first cadet to recognize the officer will call ATTENTION and all cadets in the room will stand at attention unless otherwise directed by the inspector while he is in the room.
