Millersburg Military Institute Yearbooks

I have found a PDF source for almost all of the SNIPER yearbooks of the Millersburg Military Institute.  (1952-1988)

The reason that I am including this link is a personal one.  Specifically, my next door neighbors while growing up in Marion, Ohio had sent their son to Millersburg two years before I entered KMI.  They could not stop raving about the advantages of attending a military type structure where you could receive a much better education than the local government school.

My parents soon accepted this idea but did not want me to attend the same school that my neighbor attended.  I don't know exactly why (I think that Florida had something to do with it) but they decided to look into KMI as an acceptable alternative school.

I remember I traveled to Lyndon with my parents to inspect the KMI facilities during the fall of 1959.  It was a very cold day and I was not exactly thrilled about the type of room I would be sleeping and studying in.  On the other hand, the grounds at KMI were in a spectacular setting to live and play in! I had also realized that this would be a great way to gain some freedom from my parents to do what I wanted to do.  Of course, that was before I experienced military school rules, regulations and dress codes.  But with experience, all cadets became adept at bending the rules a little to our advantage without major problems.  Except for getting busted in rank or kicked out!  I spent a lot of time on the beat, which gave me an extra perspective on when I had my own free time to explore Louisville or Lyndon.
